📋 Ingredients
There is no right or wrong mezze to add to your Mediterranean mezze board. Have fun with the additions and use what you have available.
- Cheese: I highly recommend finding some halloumi cheese. Halloumi is a cheese from Cyprus that holds up to grilling and frying without melting. Feta cheese is a classic but I do suggest looking for a block of feta that is packed in brine, which will creamy and overall be better quality.
- Olives: Castelvetrano olives are some of my favorite because they are mild and buttery. Kalamata olives are brinier and fantastic on Greek salad skewers.
- Dips: Have fun with all the dips! Classic hummus, roasted beet hummus, Lebanese baba ganoush, lemony tzatziki and for a spicy kick, add some zhug sauce.
- Stuffed Grape Leaves: You can often find stuffed grape leaves canned at most grocery stores but if you feel inclined to make your own, check out my vegetarian stuffed grape leaves with rice or my mom's meat and rice stuffed grape leaves.
- Salad Skewers: Inspired by the salty and fresh flavors of a Greek salad, these Greek salad skewers are simply made with cubed feta, olive, cherry tomato and cucumber.
- Fruits and Vegetables: When it comes to fruits and vegetables, use what is available to you. Such as grilled artichoke hearts, Turkish sumac onions, baby bell peppers, fresh grapes or dried apricots and dates.
- Pita Bread: Make homemade pita chips in 15 minutes with store bought pita bread. Sprinkle some za'atar and drizzle of olive oil on the pita bread for even more flavor. Or if you feel extra ambitious, make homemade pita bread from scratch.

Samantha is right when she says, "Get your friends together because we are making a colorful and vibrant Mediterranean charcuterie board full of all sorts of different mezze"! I got my bridge team a treat this week when they arrived I had this "Mezze" tray ready when they arrived. I found the Grape leaves at a Mediterranean market near the house and they were Wonderful. I might follow the recipe for Grape Leave that Samantha has on her site.

This cheese board was easier to make than it looks. We wanted to impress the new neighbors so We picked up most of the ingredients. The Halloumi cheese was difficult to find until we realized its been sitting at the store right by the Mozzarella the whole time. The Castelvetrano Olives were new to us and wow, they are like butter. Thank you for the ideas tat we find on your recipe's. Sky.
