Red Wine Roasted Figs with Honey and Rosemary
Red Wine Roasted Figs with Honey and Rosemary is the perfect accompaniment for your cheese board or spoon over ricotta or Greek yogurt.
- 1 pint of fresh figs cut in half (any color)
- 1/4 cup red wine
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tsp honey
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract or vanilla paste
- Zest of 1 small orange
- 1 sprig of fresh rosemary stem removed and chopped
To serve on the side:
- Baked Camembert
- Ricotta cheese
- Greek Yogurt
- Baked Brie
- Favorite cheese platter
Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Add cut figs to a small cast iron pan or oven safe dish and set aside.
Whisk together the red wine, brown sugar, honey, vanilla, orange zest and rosemary and pour over figs.
Roast figs for 20 minutes until they softens and the red wine reduces slightly.
