Pear Ginger Cake  with Olive Oil

This easy to make pear ginger cake is warm and zesty and loaded with chunks of sweet pears.  Simple enough to make for an afternoon treat or a sweet dessert, this tender pear cake will surely become a go-to recipe for any occasion!

Lets make a pear ginger cake.  First, gather all of  your Ingredients!

Step 1. Add the peeled pears to a bowl and toss with brown sugar.

Step 2. Add the flour, baking powder, ginger and cinnamon and whisk to combine.

Step 3. Whisk the wet ingredients together, including the olive oil, orange juice, eggs, vanilla, white sugar and brown sugar.

Step 4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until well combined.

Step 5. Add the chopped pears with any accumulated juice into the batter and fold the mixture together.

Step 7. Bake the pear cake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 50-55 minutes. Once done, let cool slightly then dust with powdered sugar.
