I had an exiting weekend last week. After my busy trip to Seattle to promote my new favorite adult beverage, I whisked home to prep for my cooking demo for kids at Whole Foods. It’s all about the balance, right?
I’ve talked about how much I absolutely LOVE Whole Foods! Their mantra is right on and they always try and work with local farmers!
So because school is right around the corner, the awesome marketing director Tina created a “Back to School Fest” all for the kids! During the week, school kids were able to attend cooking classes and water color painting and most importantly learn the value of healthy eating.
It was a lot of fun but let me tell you, 15 kids all under 10years old is a lot of work! (Props to the moms and teachers out there!) After a very quick introduction, we got right into making healthy sandwiches and cut them with fun cookie cutters. Some kids used bell peppers and grapes to make eyes and a mouth for their sandwich. Super cute!
Thanks to Whole Foods in Long Beach for having me as part of their team! Get your kids in the kitchen and have fun!
