Mediterranean Mezze Platter

Mediterranean has been the theme in the Little Ferraro Kitchen this week, and now we bring it all together and celebrate with a beautiful mezze platter.
A mezze platter can be anything you want it to be. A spread of various assortments of colorful , textured and appetizing delectables, such as tabbouleh, which was featured earlier this week.
Grilled lamb kabobs dressed with chopped garlic, fresh herbs (rosemary and thyme), olive oil and
a good squeeze of fresh lemon juice kicks off the natural flavors of the charred meat.
A vegetable skewer balances with sweet and savory. Baby cherry tomatoes ready to burst with sugary goodness and petite bell peppers adds with a tender bite.
Yogurt with mint is a childhood favorite of mine. I grew up on this, eating cold chicken out of the refrigerator and dunking it in this simple dip .Cold and creamy, crunchy and lemony, yogurt with mint is for sure the crowing glory to the hot platter.
Ingredients:
 1c Greek yogurt (I prefer non-fat)
1 small Persian cucumber, peeled and finely chopped
Small bunch of fresh mint leaves, chopped
Juice of 1 lemon
Drizzle of good olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Method:
Mix all ingredients together in a well. Chill in refrigerator before ready to serve.
Home made hummus is just as easy as buying it from the store! Heart healthy with a luscious feel, hummus is everyone’s favorite dip! Using the same organic flavors such as lemon and garlic, garbanzo beans and sesame are the prime staples of this popular spread.
Serve everything family style and you have yourself a gorgeous spread. Pour a glass of Jallab and have yourself an amazing feast!
Enjoy!
